Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John F. Francis could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Strawberries, Cake and Cream changed hands for USD 78,000.00 (€ 58,819.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by John F. Francis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life: Yellow Apples And Chestnuts Spilling From A Basket in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 374,500.00 (€ 269,056.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John F. Francis konnte im November 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Strawberries, Cake and Cream für USD 78.000,00 (€ 58.819,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John F.
