Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life With White Compote by John F. Francis for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,731.46). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John F. Francis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life: Yellow Apples And Chestnuts Spilling From A Basket in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 374,500.00 (€ 269,056.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life With White Compote von John F. Francis für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.731,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John F. Francis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life: Yellow Apples And Chestnuts Spilling From A Basket im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 374.500,00 (€ 269.056,69).
