Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a spaniel by John Downman was sold in the Dramas of Light and Land: The Martyn Gregory Collection of British Art auction at Christies in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,643.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Downman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Henry Frederick Bouverie And His Sister in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 96,000.00 (€ 73,857.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a spaniel von John Downman wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dramas of Light and Land: The Martyn Gregory Collection of British Art bei Christies in London versteigert.
