Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Agecroft Power Station, Salford by John Davies. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,389.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Other works by John Davies have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2008 the work Brown Painted Head was auctioned for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,940.70).

Im November 2012 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Agecroft Power Station, Salford von John Davies zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.389,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00. Andere Arbeiten von John Davies konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2008 die Arbeit Brown Painted Head für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.940,70) versteigert.
