A top price for John D. Schiff - as previously expected
In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which included the work Marcel Duchamp Sitting in Armchair, 1950s by John D. Schiff. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,671.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Marcel Duchamp Sitting in Armchair, 1950s is the most expensive artwork by John D. Schiff that we have observed at auctions so far.

Schiff zur Versteigerung kam.
