Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Studies of Hen harrier, American marsh harrier, Pallid harrier, and Montagu's harrier by John Cyril Harrison for GBP 750.00 (€ 844.02). This price was achieved in the auction The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Cyril Harrison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ptarmigan in mid plumage in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Studies of Hen harrier, American marsh harrier, Pallid harrier, and Montagu's harrier von John Cyril Harrison für GBP 750,00 (€ 844,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Cyril Harrison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ptarmigan in mid plumage im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36).
