In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction The Astor Collection From Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire, which included the work Shinshu, Her 523Rd Head Of Quarry, 19Th April 1976 by John Cyril Harrison. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,440.15), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Cyril Harrison; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ptarmigan in mid plumage sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36).

Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Astor Collection From Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shinshu, Her 523Rd Head Of Quarry, 19Th April 1976 von John Cyril Harrison zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.440,15) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Cyril Harrison; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ptarmigan in mid plumage im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36).
