In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Avocets In Flight Across Marshland by John Cyril Harrison. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,734.37), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Cyril Harrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ptarmigan in mid plumage, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Avocets In Flight Across Marshland von John Cyril Harrison zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.734,37) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Cyril Harrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ptarmigan in mid plumage beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36) versteigert wurde.
