Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Fish-Eagle In Flight With Its Catch by John Cyril Harrison was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,527.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Cyril Harrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ptarmigan in mid plumage in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,335.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Fish-Eagle In Flight With Its Catch von John Cyril Harrison kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.527,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Cyril Harrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ptarmigan in mid plumage im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.335,36).
