Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study Of A Jug by John Craxton was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,879.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Craxton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Triptych (Boy on Wall, Girl on the Seashore, Goat and Tree) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 343,300.00 (€ 399,542.10).
