Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (For Eric Satie) by John Coburn was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,198.00 (€ 1,939.09). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icon, 1970 in November 2021 with an auction result of AUD 387,450.00 (€ 343,271.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (For Eric Satie) von John Coburn kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.198,00 (€ 1.939,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Coburn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Icon, 1970 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 387.450,00 (€ 343.271,02).
