Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kuranda, 1988 by John Coburn was sold in the Australian Art Online auction at Bonhams in Sydney in November this year. The price achieved of AUD 984.00 (€ 596.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icon, 1970 in November 2021 with an auction result of AUD 387,450.00 (€ 343,271.02).
