Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 187,500.00 (€ 205,862.53). Other works by John Cleveley the Elder have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 290,500.00 (€ 373,969.84) in December 2014 for the work King George Iii Reviewing The Fleet At Spithead, Off Portsmouth Harbour.
