The work The Christmas Tree by John Christopherson was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 1,104.05), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Christopherson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moonlit Grove 2 55 x 43cm (21 5/8 x 16 15/16in) unframed, which sold at auction in April this year for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,632.71).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 1.104,05) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Christopherson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moonlit Grove 2 55 x 43cm (21 5/8 x 16 15/16in) unframed beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.632,71) versteigert wurde.
