It achieved a price of GBP 625.00 (€ 849.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by John Christopherson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonlit Grove 2 55 x 43cm (21 5/8 x 16 15/16in) unframed in April this year with an auction result of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,632.71).
