Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Personnage Au Masque De Chien, 1964-1990 by John Christoforou was sold in the Contemporary Art 2 auction at Artcurial in May 2012. It changed hands for a price of EUR 772.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Christoforou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panique, 1973 in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 15,990.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Personnage Au Masque De Chien, 1964-1990 von John Christoforou wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art 2 bei Artcurial versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 772,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Christoforou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Panique, 1973 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.990,00.
