Auction result fails to reach estimate
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work “L’homme brise” by John Christoforou for DKK 13,000.00 (€ 1,743.89). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 15,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Christoforou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Panique, 1973 in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 15,990.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “L’homme brise” von John Christoforou für DKK 13.000,00 (€ 1.743,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Christoforou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Panique, 1973 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.990,00.
