Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chiswick House by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,465.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Olive Trees, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chiswick House von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.465,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Olive Trees beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07) versteigert wurde.
