Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Gunterstal; and nine further works by the same hand by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 504.00 (€ 743.25). Admittedly, works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Olive Trees in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gunterstal; and nine further works by the same hand von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 504,00 (€ 743,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Olive Trees im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
