Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Giudecca, Venice by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 360.00 (€ 525.48), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olive Trees in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Giudecca, Venice von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 525,48) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olive Trees im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
