Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Janson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River Landscape With Drawbridge; River Landscape With Windmill in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 28,000.00 (€ 18,866.65).

Die Arbeit A river landscape with figures by an embankment von Johannes Janson wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Janson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit River Landscape With Drawbridge; River Landscape With Windmill im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 18.866,65).
