Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A River Landscape Near Leiden With A Sailingboat And A Rowing Boat Transporting Cattle To A Mansion by Johannes Janson. The price achieved of EUR 2,760.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Janson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River Landscape With Drawbridge; River Landscape With Windmill in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 28,000.00 (€ 18,866.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Landscape Near Leiden With A Sailingboat And A Rowing Boat Transporting Cattle To A Mansion von Johannes Janson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.760,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Janson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit River Landscape With Drawbridge; River Landscape With Windmill im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.000,00 (€ 18.866,65).
