Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strolling Through The Forest by Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2009. The price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.00.

Die Arbeit Strolling Through The Forest von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa kam im März 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400,00.
