The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,000.00 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch A Summer Landscape With A Village In The Distance, Possibly Heelsum von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa wurde im April 2009 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.000,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400,00.
