A top price for Johannes Cornelisz. Verspronck - as previously expected
In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Including Property From the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker, which included the work Portrait of Jean le Gouche (1588-1669), half-length, in a brown coat and lace collar, holding a hat by Johannes Cornelisz. Verspronck. The price achieved of USD 880,000.00 (€ 644,216.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of Jean le Gouche (1588-1669), half-length, in a brown coat and lace collar, holding a hat is the most expensive artwork by Johannes Cornelisz. Verspronck that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Including Property From the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Jean le Gouche (1588-1669), half-length, in a brown coat and lace collar, holding a hat von Johannes Cornelisz.
