In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a black costume with a white collar and cuffs by Johannes Cornelisz. Verspronck. The price achieved of EUR 145,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00.
