Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The interior of the St. Laurentiuskerk, Alkmaar by Johannes Bosboom was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Bosboom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 84,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The interior of the St. Laurentiuskerk, Alkmaar von Johannes Bosboom im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Bosboom erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.250,00.
