Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch Figures At Mass In The Geertekerk, Utrecht by Johannes Bosboom was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2008. The price achieved of EUR 27,150.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Bosboom - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 84,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch Figures At Mass In The Geertekerk, Utrecht von Johannes Bosboom wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 27.150,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Bosboom mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 84.250,00 versteigert wurde.
