It achieved a price of EUR 12,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25 %. Admittedly, works by Johannes Bosboom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 84,250.00.

Die Arbeit A view of Delft with the Oude Kerk in the distance von Johannes Bosboom wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 12.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Bosboom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.250,00.
