Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th CenturyEuropean Art, which included the work A sunlit church interior by Johannes Bosboom. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Bosboom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 84,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A sunlit church interior von Johannes Bosboom zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Bosboom erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.250,00.
