This artwork by Johann Conrad Seekatz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2000. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work A fête champêtre, on a terrace sold for NLG 23,404.00 (€ 10,219.18) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Conrad Seekatz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bäuerliche Szene vor einem Ziehbrunnen. Um 1765. in September 2006 with an auction result of CHF 177,500.00 (€ 111,883.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johann Conrad Seekatz erzielte im Mai 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit A fête champêtre, on a terrace für NLG 23.404,00 (€ 10.219,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Conrad Seekatz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bäuerliche Szene vor einem Ziehbrunnen. Um 1765. im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 177.500,00 (€ 111.883,62).
