Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Arts In War by Johann Zoffany was sold in the Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz auction at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,440.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Zoffany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden At Hampton House, With Mr And Mrs David Garrick Taking Tea; And The Shakespeare Temple At Hampton House, With Mr And Mrs David Garrick in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,761,250.00 (€ 8,097,551.93).

Die Arbeit The Arts In War von Johann Zoffany wurde im Mai 2020 in der Auktion Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.440,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
