Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Artist’S Daughter, Cecilia, Seated At A Writing Desk by Johann Zoffany for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,651.65). This price was achieved in the auction Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 18,000.00 – 24,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Zoffany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden At Hampton House, With Mr And Mrs David Garrick Taking Tea; And The Shakespeare Temple At Hampton House, With Mr And Mrs David Garrick in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,761,250.00 (€ 8,097,551.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Artist’S Daughter, Cecilia, Seated At A Writing Desk von Johann Zoffany für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.651,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 24.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Zoffany erzielen.
