Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Artist And His Family by Johann Zoffany was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,426.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Zoffany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden At Hampton House, With Mr And Mrs David Garrick Taking Tea; And The Shakespeare Temple At Hampton House, With Mr And Mrs David Garrick in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,761,250.00 (€ 8,097,551.93).

Die Arbeit The Artist And His Family von Johann Zoffany kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
