Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johan Hagemeyer could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection auction, the work Power Lines, San Francisco changed hands for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,605.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johan Hagemeyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prison, 1923 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,681.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johan Hagemeyer konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection wechselte die Arbeit Power Lines, San Francisco für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.605,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Hagemeyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prison, 1923 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.681,04).
