Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Dark Lady by Johan Hagemeyer was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,906.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Hagemeyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prison, 1923 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,681.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Dark Lady von Johan Hagemeyer kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.906,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Hagemeyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prison, 1923 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.681,04).
