This artwork by Johan Barthold Jongkind achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Paysage de Nyon - 1875 sold for EUR 3,674.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Barthold Jongkind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing on a sunny day in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johan Barthold Jongkind erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Paysage de Nyon - 1875 für EUR 3.674,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Barthold Jongkind erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sailing on a sunny day im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.000,00.
