The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,673.40), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Adolph Rust - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A shipyard, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 64,361.00 (€ 30,891.16).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.673,40) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
