In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work Moored sailing ships in a river estuary by Johan Adolph Rust. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,875.00 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Johan Adolph Rust have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A shipyard in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 64,361.00 (€ 30,891.16).

Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moored sailing ships in a river estuary von Johan Adolph Rust zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.875,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Adolph Rust auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A shipyard im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 64.361,00 (€ 30.891,16).
