Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joel Mesler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September last year. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Untitled (Down and Out in Beverly Hills) sold for USD 31,500.00 (€ 32,198.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joel Mesler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work To Life in May last year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 845,401.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joel Mesler erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Down and Out in Beverly Hills) für USD 31.500,00 (€ 32.198,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joel Mesler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit To Life im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 845.401,17).
