Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a Native American man by Joe Neil Beeler was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,815.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Neil Beeler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanks for the Rain in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 50,531.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a Native American man von Joe Neil Beeler im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.815,03) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Neil Beeler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanks for the Rain im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 50.531,68).
