Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art, which included the work The fountain by Joaquim Mir. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,115.01), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquim Mir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish ruinas Del Castillo De San Tueri, Felanitx (The Ruins Of The Castle Of San Tueri In Felanitx) in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 221,000.00 (€ 307,277.24).
