Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Artist'S House, Vilanova I La Geltrú by Joaquim Mir was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 110,333.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joaquim Mir - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish ruinas Del Castillo De San Tueri, Felanitx (The Ruins Of The Castle Of San Tueri In Felanitx), which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 221,000.00 (€ 307,277.24).

Die Arbeit The Artist'S House, Vilanova I La Geltrú von Joaquim Mir wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
