In June this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Shoreditch by Joana Vasconcelos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,160.00 (€ 23,462.77), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joana Vasconcelos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carmen Miranda in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 264,328.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shoreditch von Joana Vasconcelos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 23.462,77) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joana Vasconcelos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carmen Miranda im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 264.328,85).
