Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Plum Blossoms, Rock and Narcissus by Jing Hengyi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,684.38), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jing Hengyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy in Running Script, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 184,000.00 (€ 17,113.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms, Rock and Narcissus von Jing Hengyi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.684,38) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jing Hengyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 184.000,00 (€ 17.113,19) versteigert wurde.
