Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Magpies on Willow Tree with Red Camellia by Jin Cheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 89,250.00 (€ 11,075.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jin Cheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Scenery Of Jiangnan in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 7,840,000.00 (€ 743,975.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Magpies on Willow Tree with Red Camellia von Jin Cheng wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 89.250,00 (€ 11.075,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jin Cheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Scenery Of Jiangnan im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.840.000,00 (€ 743.975,28).
