A top price for Jin Cheng
When the work Spring Scenery Of Jiangnan by Jin Cheng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 2,000,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 7,840,000.00 (€ 743,975.28). This high result makes Spring Scenery Of Jiangnan the most expensive artwork by Jin Cheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
