Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work A Clear Autumn Day at a Fishing Village, 1913 by Jin Cheng. The price achieved of HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,129.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jin Cheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Scenery Of Jiangnan in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 7,840,000.00 (€ 743,975.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Clear Autumn Day at a Fishing Village, 1913 von Jin Cheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.129,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jin Cheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Scenery Of Jiangnan im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.840.000,00 (€ 743.975,28).
