Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jimmy Ernst could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Image Scape #21 changed hands for USD 960.00 (€ 752.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jimmy Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Imminence in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,793.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jimmy Ernst konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Image Scape #21 für USD 960,00 (€ 752,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jimmy Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Imminence im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 17.793,89).
