Auction result well in line with expectations
The work UNTITLED by Jigger Cruz was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,409.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jigger Cruz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jazz In A Restless Landscape Of Silhouettes And Screeches in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit UNTITLED von Jigger Cruz wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.409,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jigger Cruz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jazz In A Restless Landscape Of Silhouettes And Screeches im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02).
